Where scripture meets soul
Meet Fiona - Candlemaker, Mother and Believer
Hello, I’m Fiona — candle-maker, mother of one, and founder of Proverbs & Spirit.
In January 2025 my career came to a pause. This change pushed me straight to my knees. I opened my Bible, prayed honestly, and asked God to put my hands to faithful work — because “a lazy person’s hands bring poverty” (Proverbs 10:4). It just so happened this was where the founding of my company name came from as Proverbs scripture speaks wisdom and Spirit came from the Holy Spirit intervening in my every plan.
One morning, Scripture sparked an idea: what if every candle could carry a verse and a blessing? Where scripture meets soul a simple way to light homes and hearts at the same time. I poured my first batch at the dining table learning from a YouTube video, naming each candle with a biblical reference.
Today every Proverbs & Spirit candle is hand-poured here in the UK with Rapeseed & Coconut wax, clean fragrance oils, and prayerful intention. Inside every package you’ll find a keepsake card listing “Reasons God Loves You” a reminder that His grace shines just as brightly for you as it does for me.
This brand is my thank-you offering for a vision born in a hard season. May every flame whisper hope, courage, and the unchanging love of Christ.
Proverbs & Spirit exists to create faith- inspired candles that bring peace, purpose, and presence into everyday life.
Rooted in scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit, I handcraft each candle as a symbol of hope, rest and renewal for the soul.
My mission is to help women draw closer to God during life's quiet moments through light, scent and scripture.
Born from a season of uncertainty and powered by faith, Proverbs & Spirit reminds you that God is still writing your story and his plans are filled with promise.
